New Fund to Boost Reuse and Recycling of e-Waste
Defra announces funding from the DTS and WEEE compliance fee
Approximately £665,000 of funds from the Distributor Takeback Scheme (DTS) and the 2016 WEEE compliance fee are available to support local authority projects aimed at increasing re-use and recycling of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE).
Retailers and manufacturers of EEE contribute to the DTS and the WEEE compliance fee respectively.
Local authorities can submit applications for funding to Defra by 29th September 2017. We have a long track record of helping our local authority partners secure WEEE project funding and bringing together social enterprises and local councils to set up reuse projects.
Please get in touch to discuss how we can help.
