On 18.08.2025, battery registrations of Non-German manufacturers without Authorization will be deleted. This means that there will no longer be a battery registration number. This will result in a sales ban. To avoid this, we offer a new registration via Landbell GmbH or ERP Germany as Authorized Representative. To ensure that your company is permanently registered, and as there are processing times at the authorities, this authorization should be applied for at the beginning of July if possible. Each additional brand registration will be charged with an additional \u20ac 49. This will be charged directly at the time of purchase in our Click & Comply online store.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, existing customers will be charged a kilogram price for portable batteries and a button cell price per cell at the end of the year for the quantities placed on the market. These tariffs cover collection, disposal and the provision of information by the take-back systems.<\/p>\n<p>If you additionally or exclusively place industrial batteries on the market, registration including the already known official fees and a trademark will cost \u20ac479 in 2025. Each additional trademark registration is charged at an additional \u20ac49. If you require the separate collection and disposal of waste industrial batteries, we will provide you with a specific quote for this.<\/p>\n<p>For 2026, we expect an adjustment of the fees and tariffs (including a guarantee\/security service) due to extensive legal changes. The next significant changes will come into force in Germany and the other EU member states on 18.08.2025.<br \/>\nThe German legislator has submitted a draft amendment bill that adapts the EU regulation to German law.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the change of government in Germany, the adaptation of German battery law to this regulation has been delayed. Until a new German battery law is passed, transitional solutions from the previous battery law and the new EU regulation are currently in place. Each additional brand registration will be charged with an additional \u20ac 49. This will be charged directly at the time of purchase in our Click & Comply online store.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, existing customers will be charged a kilogram price for portable batteries and a button cell price per cell at the end of the year for the quantities placed on the market. These tariffs cover collection, disposal and the provision of information by the take-back systems.<\/p>\n<p>If you additionally or exclusively place industrial batteries on the market, registration including the already known official fees and a trademark will cost \u20ac479 in 2025. Each additional trademark registration is charged at an additional \u20ac49. If you require the separate collection and disposal of waste industrial batteries, we will provide you with a specific quote for this.<\/p>\n<p>For 2026, we expect an adjustment of the fees and tariffs (including a guarantee\/security service) due to extensive legal changes. If your company has several brands or wants to sell batteries under different brands, you must apply for a separate registration for each brand and battery category. If you do not have a trademark, your company name can be used as a trademark. If the battery does not have a brand name, register the brand of the electrical appliance in which the battery is installed. You can recognize this by the crossed-out garbage bin symbol on our products and packaging.<\/p>\n<p>The reason for separate disposal is that electrical and electronic appliances and batteries contain valuable raw materials such as metals (e.g. iron, zinc, manganese or nickel), plastics and rare earths. These raw materials can be reused (recycled) by disposing of them separately. By disposing of them properly, you are helping to protect the environment and human health.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Batteries and rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances can be identified by the letter combination Pb for lead, Cd for cadmium and Hg for mercury under the crossed-out garbage bin.<\/li>\n<li>Improper disposal of lithium-ion batteries poses an enormous fire hazard. Time and again, incorrectly disposed batteries cause fires, \u00a0devastating for both consumers and disposal companies. Lithium-ion batteries can ignite in domestic waste garbage cans, waste clays, waste disposal trucks or sorting plants. This not only causes major damage to property, but also creates a life-threatening situation, both in households and for employees in the waste disposal and recycling industry.<\/li>\n<li>Before disposing of your lithium-ion battery or rechargeable battery and also when storing it, you should cover the poles with insulating tape (alternatively: adhesive tape) to prevent a short circuit.<\/li>\n<li>If the lithium-ion battery is not installed in the device, the battery should be disposed of individually at the appropriate collection points.<\/li>\n<li>Please avoid producing waste as far as possible by preferring batteries with a longer service life or rechargeable batteries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can return batteries free of charge either to municipal collection points or to retailers.
