Producers' responsibilities

If you put batteries and/or accumulators (even those inside equipment or vehicles) onto the Spanish market, you, as a producer, have a series of legal responsibilities which include financing their management when they are converted into waste.

By joining ERP, you can easily comply with these obligations. Moreover, our global presence will make it easier for you to comply with the obligations in every country where you market batteries or have the intention of doing so.

What can ERP do for your business?

We will help you in every stage, from identifying the obligations right up to registering on the Registry of Producers and the quarterly declarations of batteries placed on the market.

Our services go far beyond the legal requirements and adapt to the specific needs of your business.

  • We work with all types of producers: manufacturers, importers and distributors of portable and industrial batteries and accumulators and those for vehicles and producers of equipment and vehicles with some type of incorporated battery or accumulator.

  • We also collaborate with you and your clients (distribution shops and others) in the installation of containers to facilitate the selective collection of this waste.

How it works

We have a network of nearly 7,000 battery collection points in shops, on streets, in recycling centres, schools, public buildings and others, which allow us to offer proximity to the user, and through which we are able to comply with our producers’ obligations.

Day after day we work to improve the competitiveness and innovation of our logistical and recycling solutions. This allows us to offer the best price to our members.

  • ERP Spain collected more than 2,000 tons of portable, industrial and automotive batteries in 2018
