Presentation of the ESTRAEE Project

  • ERP España and ERP Portugal participated in this Cross-Border Sustainable Strategy for the Management of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (ESTRAEE).

In Pontevedra tomorrow, Thursday 22 February, the presentation of the Cross-Border Sustainable Strategy for the Management of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (ESTRAEE) project will take place. This is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), in which both ERP España and ERP Portugal participate.

The ESTRAEE project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Interreg V-A España-Portugal (POCTEP) 2014-2020 programme, which aims to boost the management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in the cross-border area of Galicia-Northern Portugal, strengthening reuse as a priority option and involving citizens, local administrations, manufactures, producers (through the Extended Producer Responsibility Systems) and waste managers.

Alongside ERP España and ERP Portugal, the consortium in charge of carrying out this project is made up of: the Provincial Council of Albacete (main partner), Lipor-Serviço Intermunicipalizado de Gestão de Resíduos do Grande Porto, Revertia Reusing and Recycling, and the Fundación Centro Tecnológico de Eficiencia y Sostenibilidad Energética (Energylab).
