Brings together companies linked to the electric vehicle in Spain

ERP Spain joins AEDIVE to promote recycling of batteries and WEEE throughout the electrical mobility value chain

  • The Business Association for the Development and Promotion of Electric Mobility (AEDIVE) brings together companies linked to the electric vehicle in Spain

European Recycling Platform (ERP) Spain, the only pan-European Collective Scheme dedicated to the management of electrical and electronic devices (WEEE) and batteries and accumulators accumulated in Spain, has joined AEDIVIE, the Business Association for the Development and Promotion of Electric Mobility, a groups of innovative companies from the entire electric vehicle value chain in Spain. The aim is to promote recycling of batteries and WEEE in this segment.

“Here at ERP, as prominent stakeholders in the management of this kind of waste at national and European level for more than a decade, we want to collaborate for the sustainable promotion of this technology, encompassing the correct management of electric vehicle batteries at the end of their useful life, and we are convinced that joining AEDIVE is one of the best ways to empower synergies,” explains Laura Alonso, CEO of ERP España.

For Arturo Pérez de Lucia, CEO of AEDIVE, “processing of electric vehicle batteries is a crucial part of the central economy, playing a dual role in being reused for the second life in stationary applications and in other electric vehicles and in recycling to optimise the critical materials used in manufacturing, which makes it so important to rely on an electric mobility value chain with specialised and authorised entities like ERP, capable of responding to these challenges”.
