Gelatex Technologies wins the Green Alley Award 2019

Yesterday, October 17, 2019, the final of the Green Alley Award took place, the first prize for European startups promoting the circular economy.

The six finalists of the 2019 edition, coming from Germany, France, Spain, Denmark and Estonia, hit the judges with the innovations proposed and presented their ideas to the jury made up of both Landbell Group representatives and external experts.

The winner of this year is Gelatex Technologies from Estonia that created an eco-friendly alternative to conventional leather. Even though chemically identical, it is produced without the use of toxins and comes at half the price. Using gelatine, a waste by-product from meat processing, Gelatex is organic and biodegradable. Thickness and texture can be customized so that it can be used in the fashion and automotive industry.  www.gelatex.com
