Landbell Group presents the CarE-Service project

On 28^th May 2020, Landbell Group company, Prodigentia, gave an online presentation on the CarE-Service project to the PREVENT Waste Alliance. Prodigentia is one of the partners for Car E-Service, a European project which aims to deliver circular economy solutions for the electric vehicle (EV) and hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) sector.

The project, which has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, brings together participating companies from France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.Car E-Service is developing innovative business models that will boost the reuse, remanufacturing and refurbishing of the high-value parts and components that are used in EVs and HEVs, namely the metals, batteries and techno-polymers.

This work will help to reduce the current high cost of EVs and HEVs, transform their end-of-life management, and improve user experience.

Prodigentia is the task leader developing the online marketplace for trading the metals, batteries and techno-polymers, as well as the reverse logistics platform for managing their take-back. During their presentation “Digital solutions for Closing the Loop”, the team from Prodigentia shared the innovative concepts of the Car E-Service project. In particular, they focused on their work developing the ICT platform and logistics, which will connect the demand and supply of re-usable EV parts and coordinate and optimize the re-use value chain.

Landbell Group is member of the PREVENT Waste Alliance, which is a multi-stakeholder partnership that brings together more than 30 organisations from the private sector, academia, civil society and public institutions to minimize waste, eliminate pollutants, and maximize the reuse of resources in the economy worldwide.
