Worten promotes new Efficient Exchange campaign and continues to reforest the country

Worten's environmental responsibility initiative, Troca Eficiente (Efficient Exchange), which is once again combined with the brand's campaign dedicated to energy efficiency, is back. Until July 15th, all customers who buy A ++ or A +++ efficiency equipment at Worten stores and deliver end-of-life equipment to recycle will not only be choosing the most efficient equipment at the highest discounts, thus saving on invoices, but they will also be contributing to the reforestation of Portugal.

“Worten is a brand close to the Portuguese and this proximity is always reinforced when we promote relevant actions for the communities where we operate. Although it has been almost three years, the devastation caused by the fires in the central region of the country, in October 2017, remained in collective memory. Customers, in order, first, to contribute to the reconstruction of the homes of the populations directly affected, and then to reforest the most affected areas, with the plantation of the Worten Forest ”, recalls Inês Drummond Borges, Worten Marketing Manager.

In fact, this is already the third edition of the Efficient Exchange action, which started a year after the serious fires that affected the country and whose effects continue to be felt.

Inês Drummond Borges reinforces Worten's mission in this context: “We really believe in the impact that this initiative has on local communities and that is why we have promoted it three years in a row. Therefore, we continue to appeal to the Portuguese to join this cause, which, in fact, only brings them advantages: the customer buys a more efficient and environmentally friendly appliance, hands over the old electrical equipment, which he no longer uses or which they are damaged, so that we can send them correctly for recycling, and, with all this, we are committed to plant, for each efficient equipment purchased and old equipment delivered, a tree, to continue the reforestation of Oliveira do Hospital”.

Following the first campaign in 2018, Worten managed to plant a total of 3700 trees (including arbutus, oak and linden trees) and, last year, the results were even better, resulting in the planting of 15 000 trees in the same area of ​​the country. The Efficient Exchange campaign counts on a partnership with ERP Portugal, the entity responsible for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment delivered at Worten stores.
