Power positivity with ‘Batteries for Barretstown’ recycling campaign

Batteries for Barretstown is an innovative programme created to educate Ireland on the importance of battery recycling and increase the number of batteries recycled in Ireland through ERP collection points. Since its launch in 2017, the education initiative has generated sustained media coverage across national, regional and online media; increased battery recycling numbers by engaging Irish consumers and stakeholders across the country, driving behavioural change and raising much-needed funds for Barretstown

Please place our Batteries for Barretstown boxes in a convenient location in your school, so that your pupils can recycle their used batteries. Once you have 5 full battery boxes, simply ring our operations team on 0818 332 757 or email info@erpcollect.ie to arrange a collection or request more boxes.

Batteries for Barretstown is operational in 8 counties – Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Dublin Fingal, Limerick, Cavan, Clare, and Kerry.

Scouts kit

ERP wants your Scout Group to collect as many batteries as possible for recycling in order to earn tree coupons.

Once a group has collected four full boxes (or 100kg) of batteries, ERP will reward it with a coupon which can be exchanged for a tree. Scouting Ireland and ERP are committed to the environment and diverting batteries from landfill so let’s Recharge the Earth together and collect as many batteries as possible!
