Don’t just go Green for St Patrick’s Day
Recycle and support Batteries for Barretstown!
Do something great for the environment and recycle your electrical waste and batteries this St Patrick’s holiday!
Each year in Ireland thousands of batteries are disposed of in the standard domestic bin. Why not gather up your used batteries and support our Batteries for Barretstown campaign and raise vital funds for children and families affected by serious illness. Simply bring back your used batteries to your local shop, school or civic amenity site for recycling!!
Don’t banish your old, broken and unwanted electrical waste to your garage, shed or attic. E-waste is the fastest growing waste stream in the world. Electrical items contain a complex mixture of materials. By stripping out hazardous items and re-using as many materials as possible, recycling is good for the environment. For example, the plastics, circuit boards, wiring and metals in e-waste can all be taken out and used to make new products. Recycle your electrical waste for free at your local amenity site or at your local electrical retailer.
