More e-bikes and e-scooters are required to meet demand of an increasing number of users, however managing the takeback and recycling at their end of life is challenging, not only since they fall under WEEE and battery legislation but with the added complication of them containing lithium ion batteries which are a significant fire hazard if mistreated.
