It’s SCARY the amount of batteries that don’t get recycled! The equivalent of 30 million AA batteries are sold in Ireland in the last few months of the year and sadly a lot of these will end up in general rubbish bins. No Trick – just fact!
Be a bright spark & recycle your batteries this Halloween and support Batteries for Barretstown! You can recycle your used batteries at your local shop or recycling centre - and its free!
Batteries are made from important resources and chemicals, including lead, cadmium, zinc, lithium and mercury. Each battery placed in the ERP Batteries for Barretstown recycling box will be taken apart and many of the materials will be recovered and used to make new batteries or other products.
