10th Annual Pakman Awards 2024 – Winners Announced

Congratulations to all winners and nominees for 10th annual ceremony of the Pakman Awards 2024, Ireland’s National Environmental Awards.
Soltec was awarded the coveted 2024 Overall Pakman Award for its outstanding contributions to improving waste recycling rates across Ireland. Established in 1994, Soltec specialises in providing innovative waste management and recycling solutions, particularly in hazardous waste, helping businesses across Ireland minimise their environmental impact.
ERP would also like to congratulate Refurbed the winner of the Battery and WEEE Champion category. The company provides a platform for refurbished products that meet an ambitious set of criteria with regards to safety, quality and their warranty.

Congratulations also to Lidl Ireland took home the Business Recycling Champion Award and to Dennis Spiegel, of Lidl Ireland won the ESG Leader award. Since joining Lidl in 2020, Dennis has gone above and beyond to educate others on the importance of socially and environmentally responsible consumption as well as working towards a circular economy both on an individual and organisational level.

- Waste Recovery Operator - Commercial and Household - Thorntons Recycling Waste
Minister Ossian Smyth, Minister of State for Communications and Circular Economy, congratulated the winners, stating: “The 2024 Pakman Awards showcase the remarkable achievements of individuals, businesses, and communities working to create a more sustainable future. These awards inspire all of us to take part in Ireland’s transition to a Circular Economy.”
