WEEE Compliance

Simplifying your WEEE obligations

ERP UK WEEE Compliance Video

Why is WEEE compliance important for your business?

If you make, import, or sell electrical or electronic equipment (EEE) in the UK you have a legal obligation to comply with various environmental regulations.

Failure to comply with these regulations is an offence. Enforcement action can be taken.

How ERP UK can help you with WEEE compliance

The following steps are how we can help your business achieve WEEE compliance:

  • Managing your registration and reporting for household and non-household EEE
  • Taking on your legal obligations and recycling enough WEEE on your behalf
  • Keeping you up to date with the regulations and any future changes
  • Providing optional services for the take-back of non-household products

Your responsibilities

How to know if you are obligated

If you are a manufacturer, importer, or distance seller that places EEE on the UK market, (this includes if you rebrand someone else’s equipment), you have obligations you need to meet.

4 simple steps to achieving WEEE compliance:

  • Register as an EEE producer within 28 days of putting EEE onto the UK market
  • Report data on how much EEE you placed on the market
  • Join a compliance scheme (like ERP UK) to finance the collection and recycling of
    household WEEE (if applicable)
  • Take back non-household WEEE (if applicable)

ERP UK can manage all your WEEE compliance needs and ensure that your obligations are met.
