Batteries for Local Authorities
Simplifying your battery recycling
This page contains specific information for Waste Collection and Waste Disposal Authorities.
For other WEEE or battery collections:
Working with Local Authorities
ERP UK work in partnership with local authorities across the UK, many since the inception of the Battery Regulations in 2010.
Our regional account managers work closely with council and recycling centre staff to ensure that their batteries and WEEE are collected, recycled, and reported on time. This includes the provision of appropriate containers, segregation guides, training, and an ERP point of contact.
We vet our supply chain on a continuous basis, ensuring compliance with all national and international regulations. ERP uses local suppliers wherever possible, to reduce the carbon footprint of collections and support the local economy.
How ERP can help your Local Authority
ERP will provide a full service for recycling waste household and other batteries from your recycling centres. Our service includes container provision, collections, and recycling — and we will report back to you for Waste Data Flow reporting purposes monthly.
We can also provide smaller recycling `box kits` for local recycling at council offices, buildings, and local schools etc.
ERP has contributed to the recycling process for batteries 2010 and WEEE 2007 in a positive way.
