The EE regulation obliges all importers and producers of EE products to ensure efficient collection and proper disposal of EE waste.

The obligation is fulfilled collectively, through the return companies. All importers and producers of EE products must therefore be members of an authorized compliance scheme
When importing electrical and electronic products (EE products) into Norway, without membership of an approved company, you will receive a letter from the Norwegian Environment Agency telling you to register with an authorized compliance scheme such as ERP Norway represents.
The Norwegian Environment Agency links import statistics from the customs with membership lists, and send a notice to those who do not have membership in order.
