Press release: Temu partners with ERP Austria

Temu, the global e-commerce platform, has partnered with ERP Austria GmbH, a licensed Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO), to support sellers in meeting Austria’s Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements. Through a “pay-on-behalf” model, Temu facilitates seller registration, product declarations, and eco-fee payments, helping participating merchants comply with local environmental regulations more efficiently.

The cooperation covers regulated product categories including packaging, batteries, single-use plastic products, and waste electrical and electronic equipment. Recognized by Austria’s Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection, Regions and Water Management, the initiative represents a significant step toward integrating online marketplace sellers into Austria’s producer responsibility system and supports broader circular economy objectives.
