Completion of the Recycling programme in Vila-real

• ERP handed out the award to the winner of the prize draw for participants who brought a WEEE for recycling.

European Recycling Platform Spain (ERP Spain), the only pan-European SCRAP that operates in our country, has organised in collaboration with the Vila-real City Council, a programme to educate people on how to correctly recycle waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).

The campaign was divided into two parts, the first being an informative talk session on WEEE recycling, held on 29 October at the Vila-real L’Olivera CEAM (Specialised Elderly Care Centre), and a second part where the ERP took its recycling cages to different neighbourhoods of Vila-real, in order to educate citizens on the environmental advantages of correct recycling of this type of waste. A total of 135 kg of WEEE was collected. Besides, as an incentive for citizen participation, ERP held a prize draw for all neighbours who deposited a WEEE in the recycling cages. The prize was a two-night full-board stay for two persons at the Gran Hotel Peñíscola.
