The Berto Zampapilas campaign collects over 23,600 kilos of batteries in the Valencia region
Organized by the Regional Government of Valencia, ERP and Ecopilas
The primary schools of the Valencia region collected a total of 23,603.6 kilos of batteries and laptop accumulators during the campaign run by the Regional Ministry of Agriculture the Environment, Climate Change and Rural Development under the banner “Yo ayudo a Berto Zampapilas” (I help Berto Zampapilas) organized in collaboration with ERP and Ecopilas.
For the second year this campaign has promoted the selective collection of this type of waste among students and their families, thus preventing batteries from ending up in the wrong containers. In addition to the multiple benefits for our environment, the school that collects the most batteries and laptop accumulators per pupil in their province, receives a cheque for 2,500 euros to spend on school or sporting material for the school itself.
