Through parent company Landbell Group, European Recycling Platform (ERP) took part in the E-Waste World Conference & Expo that was held virtually on 18-19 November 2020. Manufacturers, suppliers, waste managers, academics, politicians, researchers, consultants and NGOs met during this conference, which is usually held in person in Frankfurt, and which this year went online to bring together over a hundred renowned experts from around the world to discuss the management of electronic waste (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment, or WEEE).

Sinead McCabe, global key account manager, took part in the "More Batteries, Less Waste: Transition to a Circular Value Chain for Battery Metals" session which was held at 4.10pm on Thursday 19 November. McCabe's presentation delved into the rise of the electric mobility sector and the challenges arising from the anticipated increase in lithium-ion battery waste.

Dora Caria, head of circular economy engineering, took part in the "Towards a More Circular Economy in WEEE Management: in Theory and in Practice" session. In her presentation, Caria talked about the voluntary programmes for recovering electronic waste and Landbell Group's circular economy strategies.
