Household WEEE collect grew 12% while professional collection grew close to 150%
ERP Spain increased collection and management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) by 17.7% in 2020 despite logistical limitations, partial closures of many collection channels, and restrictions on movement experienced during the months of lockdown due to the Covid-19 crisis.
The collection and management of WEEE of domestic origin rose to 27,732 tonnes in 2020, 12% more than managed by ERP Spain in 2019. Regarding WEEE for exclusively professional use, the total collected and managed by ERP Spain in 2020 rose to 2,684 tonnes, 147.8% more than the previous year.
