Third edition of Pilabot gets underway

The Regional Government, with the collaboration and support of the authorised Compliance Schemes for batteries in the region, European Recycling Platform (ERP), Ecopilas and Ecolec, has launched the third edition of the Pilabot school campaign, an initiative to raise awareness of recycling among the younger generations through the used battery and accumulator collection contest at primary and secondary schools.

This new edition of Pilabot aims to do even better than last year. Organisers hope to cover all 150 of the places available to Galician schools interested in participating in the initiative. Registrations open on 10 December, through the Pilabot website.

The launch event for the campaign will be held at As Solanas Public Primary School in A Guarda, the winning school from the 2019-2020 campaign after collecting more than four tonnes of waste.
