New Virtual Recycling Centre in Navarra

• ERP joins forces with the OPREC and other PROs on this 3D simulator to foster the correct separation of waste

The Office of Waste Prevention and Stimulus of the Circular Economy (OPREC) of Navarra has launched, in collaboration with Ecoembes, Ecovidrio and various WEEE Compliance schemes including European Recycling Platform (ERP España), the virtual recycling centre of Navarra, a 3D simulator designed to promote the correct separation and recycling of waste.

The development of the simulator game had the technical support of the public company Gestión Ambiental de Navarra-Nafarroako Ingurumen Kudeaketa (GAN-NIK).

Designed to be played by all, participants must wear the virtual reality headset which gives access to a recycling plant, where the player must select different waste from the conveyor belt to deposit it in the correct container, depending on the type and characteristics.

Each participant will receive detailed information on correct and incorrect moves to improve the separation of waste and those who win the most points in the ranking will receive a prize.
