Celebrate 54th Earth Day 2024
This Earth Day let’s all commit to promoting a circular economy
To mark World Earth Day, ERP Ireland would like to thank all of our valued stakeholders and the general public. Consumers are increasingly more environmentally aware, and we have seen peoples’ recycling activities change for the better.
Last year, the equivalent of over 7 million electronic items were collected by ERP equating to 12Kg per person in Ireland.
But we have more to do. Electronic waste is still a swiftly growing waste stream in Europe.
In 2019, to tackle the pressing challenge, the EU set the collection target for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) to 65%.
This Earth Day, let's all commit to promoting a circular economy and making a positive difference for our planet and future generations.
