ERP Supports Repairmystuff.ie
Ireland’s leading online repair directory service…
The European Recycling Platform (ERP), Ireland’s only pan-European compliance scheme for WEEE and Waste Batteries, has joined forces with Repairmystuff.ie, Ireland’s leading online repair directory service. The alliance is supported by the White Goods Association with the aim of registering more authorised repair engineers and making it easier for consumers to avail of repair services throughout the country. Simply search what you want repaired, and where in the country you are, and the directory will identify local professionals who can repair the items.
ERP Ireland recently announced results of its ‘Recycling Habits during Covid-19’ study conducted by Coyne Research, which highlights recycling behaviours during the pandemic, identifying items recycled, items repaired, as well as items kept unused in the family home. A PC or laptop was the most repaired item in 2020, with 1 in 10 Irish adults fixing one in the last twelve months.
Operating 32 producer responsibility organisations for waste electrical and electronic equipment, batteries and packaging across 14 countries, The European Recycling Platform has contributed to the circular economy for over 20 years and is well placed to support Repairmystuff.ie in this initiative.
