Consorzio

Collective Schemes are legal subjects, organized in the form of a Consorzio. They have autonomous legal personality under private law, are not for profit and operate under the supervision of the Ministry of the Environment and the Protection of the Territory and the Sea and the Ministry of Economic Development.

They must guarantee the collection of WEEE from municipal collection centers throughout the country according to the indications of the Coordination Centre.

Producers who do not fulfill their obligations through an individual system must join a collective system. Distributors, collectors, transporters, recyclers and recoverers can participate in the collective systems, subject to agreement with the EEE producers.
