From ERP Italia to Consorzio ERP Italia
In compliance with the provisions of the rules, the ERP Italia Collective System assumes the legal form of a consortium. The change of name and the additional corporate requirements required by the regulations will not affect the continuity and completeness of the services provided.
Milan 10 July 2018 - ERP Italia, among the main Collective Systems that take charge on the entire national territory of management in accordance with WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and RPA (Waste of Batteries and Accumulators), is transformed into a consortium with the name of Consorzio ERP Italia.
Following the publication of the statute-type by the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Economic Development, which took place in March 2018, ERP Italia has decided to adopt it within the established deadlines, as provided for by art. 10 of Legislative Decree 49/2014. The law, in fact, makes the possibility for the Collective Systems to operate on the national territory subject to compliance with a series of stringent requirements, including the obligation of the consortium form and the adoption of the aforesaid statute-type, to which ERP will align in a timely manner.
For ERP Italia, this is a decisive step in the path of change with which it has anticipated compliance with the obligations established by legislation. In fact, as early as 2014, in the immediacy of the publication of the Decree, ERP Italia assumed the legal form of a consortium company, maintaining all the activities expressly provided for by the regulations for Collective Systems and separating the additional services provided, entrusting them to ERP Italia Servizi.
As always ERP Italia will guarantee continuity in the provision of services for members and will maintain all its certifications (ISO 9001 - 2015, ISO 14001 - 2015, Organizational Model D.Lgs. 231). Therefore, the change of name and the further corporate obligations in implementation of the Decree - including the amendment to the bylaws and the composition of the governing bodies of the consortium - will not affect the services rendered to producers and importers of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE).
Appointed President Umberto Raiteri (President & CEO of the European Recycling Platform) confirming the international vocation of the Consortium and its centrality within the same group.
"This step is fundamental for us to continue our growth path and allow us to operate in an increasingly effective manner for the satisfaction of our producers. - emphasizes Alberto Canni Ferrari, confirmed Procurator of the Collective System - The change of name allows us to be perfectly aligned with the requirements of the statute-type, as required by the rules for all Italian collective systems."
