Green Alley Award 2023-2024: public vote

January 22nd, 2024

After the successful application phase, today the public voting session starts and the public can decide who should become one of the six finalists in Berlin.

Only one of this year’s 20 circular economy startups can make it via the Public Vote. Our expert selection committee will then select the remaining five startups.

The six startups will be invited to the final pitch event, where they will take part in expert sessions and compete for the prize money of €25,000.

Out of 339 applications, the Green Alley Award team pre-selected the most promising ideas.

The startups are based in Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, and Ukraine.

The ideas are related to waste prevention (36%) to digital solutions and recycling (both with 32%).

In particular, for the waste stream, the projects are related to textile waste, food waste, packaging, municipal waste, critical raw materials, WEEE and batteries.

These projects represent excellent circular economy solutions, featuring innovative business ideas and strong, dedicated teams.
