The Pakman Awards recognises and supports excellence in waste management.

ERP is calling on Battery Recycling Champions to enter the Pakman Awards which recognise and support excellence in waste management. ERP is calling on businesses, organisations and community groups, or schools in Ireland that have established a battery recycling programme to enter the Pakman Awards and become a Battery Recycling Champion.

We are delighted to sponsor the Battery Recycling Champion category again and are calling on all our members to participate!!

Chanelle McCoy, Dragons Den star, will lead once again the Pakman judging panel to select a winner for the inaugural ‘Innovation in Waste Management’ award.

Yvonne Holmes, Head of Corporate Communications and judge for the Awards said, “The Pakman Awards is a fantastic forum to recognise the recycling excellence efforts of our members and stakeholders in the recycling industry. We are delighted to sponsor the Battery Recycling Champion category again. Each year in Ireland, thousands of batteries are disposed of in standard domestic waste. The circular economy encourages innovative approaches to minimise human impact on the environment, save resources and reduce waste. I wish all entrants the very best of luck.”

The Pakman Awards was launched in 2015 by Repak to replace the Repak Recycling Awards and allow more accessibility to the awards for all organisations who demonstrate their sustainability and environmental efforts. This year’s Awards will be held in the Intercontinental Hotel on October 25th 2018. Visit www.pakman.ie for more
