Trash Mammoth Roars at St Patricks Festival Quarter
Installation was viewed by thousands of festival goers
'Trash Mammoth' a roaring success at St Patricks Festival Quarter. The installation was viewed by thousands of festival goers over the weekend at the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks. Commissioned by The European Recycling Platform (ERP Ireland) and created by artist Ned Leddy, Trash Mammoth is composed of over 100 small electrical items and stands at over 13 feet tall. As a form of ‘artivism’, the installation can do more than just entertain - it can significantly impact culture and society. With Trash Mammoth, ERP Ireland is encouraging people to banish unused cables in their homes and recycle them at their local electrical retailer or recycling centre.
