Switch, Stay Compliant And Get Expert Support
Looking for a WEEE or battery compliance scheme in the UK? Don’t miss ERP UK’s upcoming workshops designed to help producers stay compliant, simplify reporting and explore switching to a more supportive compliance partner.
ERP UK’s latest workshops for packaging EPR, WEEE and battery compliance are taking place this June in London. Across two focused sessions, these free, in-person workshops are tailored for producers who want practical guidance on meeting their regulatory obligations and navigating a rapidly evolving compliance landscape.
With just eight spaces available per session, this is small-group learning in the true sense. You’ll have direct access to ERP UK’s compliance experts — asking questions specific to your products, data and reporting challenges, rather than sitting through a large-scale, generic presentation.
WEEE regulations and battery regulations workshops
This full-day session covers the breadth of WEEE and battery obligations facing UK producers in 2026. It's led by Jessica Dunlop, Membership Compliance Manager at ERP UK, and Radhika Rughani, Compliance Account Manager. Between them they bring more than two decades of EPR experience to the room.
Why this matters right now:
- WEEE covers any equipment with a plug, battery or circuit board, with limited exemptions. That's a wider net than many businesses realise.
- There are now 15 EEE categories, with vapes and e-cigarettes added as Category 15 from August 2026.
- B2C producers report tonnage data quarterly. B2B producers report annually. Both must register with the Environment Agency and, in the case of large producers, join an approved compliance scheme.
- Battery producers carry separate but parallel obligations under the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations, covering portable, industrial and automotive batteries.
- Online marketplace operators have been classified as WEEE producers (not battery) since August 2025 when facilitating sales from non-UK sellers to UK households.
The workshop is built around scoping obligations, data collection and reporting practice, the pitfalls that catch businesses out most often, and practical tools for building compliance processes that don't fall over the moment something changes.
“It’s always a good idea to get a refresher, especially as there have been some changes to the WEEE Regulations and expected changes for the Battery Regulations. These sessions are free for ERP UK compliance scheme members. They're a real opportunity to step away from the day job, ask the questions you've been sitting on and leave with answers that apply directly to your business. If you're a member, please don't miss out, places are going quickly."

EPR packaging data reporting workshops
Packaging EPR is arguably the most demanding compliance area facing UK producers right now. Our sessions are led by Andrew Francis, ERP UK's Business Development Manager, and Jessica Dunlop, Membership Compliance Manager. They bring close to 50 years of producer responsibility experience to the table between them.
For context,
- Large producers (£2M+ turnover and 50+ tonnes of packaging) report bi-annually and pay waste management fees, scheme charges and PRN/PERN costs.
- Small producers (£1M to £2M turnover with 25+ tonnes, or £1M+ with 25 to 50 tonnes) report annually by 1 April and currently pay registration fees only.
- Data must be broken down by material type, packaging type (household or non-household), packaging class (primary, secondary, shipment, tertiary) and weight.
- The Recyclability Assessment Methodology (RAM), which applies to Large Producers only, now rates packaging Green, Amber or Red based on real-world UK recycling infrastructure, and that rating drives the modulated fee you'll pay.
- Nation of sale data becomes a requirement from April 2027
The workshop works through the latest regulatory requirements, scoping and categorisation, data reporting in practice, RAM, and the common mistakes that quietly cost businesses money.
"Working in a small group alongside experts for a day is a great way to get practical feedback on your own data and packaging scenario. The workshop experience is genuinely different from anything you'll get from a guide or a webinar. The feedback from previous sessions has been brilliant, and I'd encourage every member to grab a seat while they can."
Jessica Dunlop, Membership Compliance Manager, ERP UK
Why ERP UK is well placed to run these workshops
ERP UK has spent years helping more than 700 businesses navigate Extended Producer Responsibility across WEEE, batteries and packaging. We're part of the Landbell Group, a global environmental compliance organisation operating across more than 30 countries, which gives our specialists a view of regulation that stretches beyond the UK's borders.
That matters because UK rules don't exist in isolation. Many of the businesses we work with sell across multiple markets, and the patterns we see internationally often signal where UK policy is heading next.
Our compliance experts handle registration, reporting, recycling and ongoing regulatory updates for businesses of every size, from start-ups placing their first product on the market to multinationals managing complex group structures. The workshops are a chance to tap into that experience directly.
