The challenge

Every Local authority faces increasing pressure to improve recycling rates while faced with limited resources and the risk of WEEE-related fires in general waste. Many residents want to recycle electrical items but lack convenient options to do so.

Our solution

Thanks to funding provided by Material Focus, we installed WEEE banks across London in easy-to-access locations. Each bank is regularly emptied and maintained, while monthly reports and easy access to data is available to Local Authorities via our secure online portal, showing exactly how much waste has been diverted from landfill.
